"Jollof was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and bright, relaxing, and filled with culture. The artwork throughout the space is stunning and really adds to the vibe. Parking was easy to find, which made the visit even better. The customer service was phenomenal. We were greeted warmly at the door and given the option to choose our own table, which we really appreciated. Our waiter Will was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and thoughtful, offering great input on both the menu and the best seating. We ordered the lunch special with rice, sweet, plantains, and salmon, along with wings, and everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. My son said mom you know it’s real food when they take a little long. My son enjoyed all his food. My favorite was the rice! The spicy bbq sauce was a hit. Overall, Jollof delivered great food, outstanding service, and a beautiful cultural atmosphere. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a different but wonderful dining experience."

"My wife and I recently tried Just Jollof Kitchen in Middletown and we absolutely fell in love with it! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and spotless, which immediately gave us a great impression. You can tell right away that this is a place where the owners take pride not only in their food but in the entire dining experience. We started with the DR BEL SPECIAL CHICKEN WINGS as our appetizer, and let me just say these wings were out of this world. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and so flavorful that they didn’t even need the house-made sauce (though the sauce was also excellent). For our main dishes, I ordered the Lamb Shank with Plantains, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The lamb was tender, fall-off-the-bone, and full of rich flavor. The plantains were so good that we couldn’t resist ordering extra to take home. My wife went with the BEEF ME UP STEW with Fufu, and it was packed with deep layered flavors that made every bite satisfying. Another thing we loved was the family run vibe. The mom is in the kitchen cooking with so much heart, and the kids were serving with genuine warmth and friendliness. It truly felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. On top of that, they have a zero bar, offering creative zero alcohol drinks and wines, which we thought was such a unique and refreshing idea. Overall, Just Jollof Kitchen is a gem. The combination of incredible food, spotless and cozy atmosphere, and genuine hospitality makes this place a must visit. We can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!"

The egusi was particularly flavorful and complemented the jollof rice exceptionally well. The staff demonstrated remarkable professionalism and provided outstanding recommendations for our meal. "I am a professional chef and was in the area with my partner, our autistic son, and was in the mood for something different. This was our first time dining at this establishment, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the delicious warm bread service to a wonderful variety of entrées, to the beautiful ambience of the dining room, everything was wonderful. Amy, our server, was nothing but kind and attentive, which really brought home a great experience. And finally, the chef, Dr. Belinda, graced us with a table touch greeting us and saying hi to our son and showing him special love. On top of the delicious food, the warmth and kindness of these people will absolutely be the reason we return. "I was blown away by how amazing the food here was. I expected a lot from the reviews and I was not at all disappointed. It’s so hard to find vegetarian food that isn’t just a frozen bean burger but the moi moi was SO good and flavorful, and the bean stew and spinach strew were fire with fufu. I also loved the dry bar, having a glass of non-alcoholic wine with lunch and then going back to work was awesome. I’ll definitely be back!"

"Tasty authentic West African food full of favor. My partner is gluten free and they had serval options for him to eat. Most of the menu can also be made vegan. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. Our server Will, the owner’s son, was a delight and very personable. After dinner we were greeted by the owners who were also beautiful and welcoming. If you are looking for a place with wonderful food, a laid back atmosphere and personable staff. Look no further than this family owned gem in downtown Middletown NY."

"We were thrilled to have lunch on JUNETEENTH and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the atmosphere, artwork, lighting and other patrons. Enjoy your time at this restaurant- have a nice appetizer and cool drink while your meal is being prepared. Wait for it patiently, let me say this again, wait for it patiently you will not be disappointed. The fish was so amazing. My Mom said it was the best tilapia she has ever had. And from the way she was eating it must have been because a woman walked over and said, you really enjoyed the fish! LOL The owner and staff make you feel like you’re having a family dinner.
